Six sides, eight legs, lots of character.

Hang it anywhere: in a window, from a shelf, or outside… in a blocktopus’s garden in the shade.

Construct your mollusk

  • Paint your block and let dry.

  • Glue on googly eye(s).

  • Twist four screw eyes into one side of your blocktopus; these are for its legs.

  • Slip one ribbon through one screw eye so both lengths are just about equal. Tie a knot at the screw eye. Two legs dunzo!

  • Repeat for the rest of the three screw eyes / six legs.

  • Twist one screw eye on the opposite side of your blocktopus; this is where it will hang.

  • Slip your last ribbon through your last screw eye, and tie the ends in a knot so you’ve got a loop.

  • Put your blocktopus up!
